I was playing heads-up at Uni - towards the end of the tournament when there was only 2 people remaining, and I kept getting some pretty bad hands, but my opponents was pushing all in
(as she had the majority of the chips) on almost every hand so I assumed she couldn't have had a good hand each of those times. I then got a couple of 3s in my paws, and as I expected, she pushed all in, I had a little think and then thought, "you know, I'm not being pushed around by her - she's taking most of the blinds and I'll have no chips soon enough," so in I went. We both exposed our cards, I had my 2 3's and she had, if I remember rightly, off-suit AK. Not a bad hand, but I had the advantage before the flop. The flop came transpired and revealed a 5, K and a
(can't remember exactly), I think it was an 8 or a 9. Not good at all but it was about to come a whole lot worse, the turn came down and it was an ace. Well, I thought that was it, she'd be raking all my chips in - but as she'd had a lot of luck and was looking pretty confident in herself, the river came and it was a 3! You should have seen the huge smile on my face. There was me raking the majority of the chips in. The last few hands I took it to her and ended up taking ~£150
(Uni kids tend to be skint!), but it was a lovely feeling nonetheless
