Default 4 Kings All In

This is still my greatest moment at a poker table, after several years of play. I was playing Texas Hold 'Em (of course), and held pocket kings. The pre-flop was aggressively raised which was fine. The flop came in AJK, more raising and I was starting to get scared of pocket aces and straights. Then came the glorious turn, another King, at which point the fishy next to me went all in. I thought about it long and hard, then 'grudgingly' went all in. The look on his face was priceless, his full house nicely worthless. I also managed not to throw away my chip lead and came away the eventual winner!

Those were the days!

Sweet story..

Had the same thing in a live game a while back, except the 'fishy' was very pretty, and she got the best of me.

In fact, she kicked all of us 'guys' at the table all night!

There is a lesson here: never believe or trust a women, ESPECIALLY with Poker ;-0

Good for you! 4 of a kind don't happen often. I got burned a few weeks back playing at a stag when I had three aces and the guys across the table got a card to complete his straight on the river!! NUTS!! Freaking river...keeps ya comin' back....great sport!

Great story! I know I would've folded. I'm not the biggest risk taker in poker.

A story about having the courage to play your hand! 4 of a kind though is absolutely wonderful and I would have loved to have been there to see his face. Absolutely gutted, I'm sure!

Ya, I seem to find that I play differently online than offline. Online, I will fold more often when I know the cards suck, etc. Offline (in real life), I'll gamble and bluff more simply b/c I don't want to wait another 20 minutes to play again, especially on big tables! Real life play is fun, but sometimes boring.. I guess thats what the beer and nuts are for! lol.

Aint that the truth my friends hate it when my partner plays in our Saturday night game! And how is it they always know were bluffing but we can't figure them out? Scary Stuff!

Well Done on the hand Malargue the only thing better than a great hand is a great hand that pays! And its a sign of a good player using the win as a catalyst to go and win the whole game!

Woah, four kings... not too shabby! I guess I could think of other words besides "priceless" for that poor guy! When you say those were the days, do you mean that you haven't had another hand like that, or you don't play as much now?

HEY! We may have to have a little talk about that statement! I hope that doesn't mean I'm not welcome here.
