I think that having poker in the Olympics is an interesting idea but I'm not sure that I agree with it. Obviously it is an incredibly popular game with global competitors and thus adheres to some aspects of the Olympic code but there is no real athleticism (physical component) necessary.

It would probably be better anyway to keep poker within the realm of a worldwide league.

I will support poker's bid to join the Olympic games. There is no wrong in having the poker game in the Olympics. But many people consider the name poker is synonymous with gambling.But that is not always correct.Poker must be in the Olympic games.
