Using deception, a poker player hopes to induce his opponents to act differently than they would if they could see his cards. Bluffing is a form of deception to induce opponents to fold superior hands. If opponents observe that a player never bluffs, they won't call his bets unless they have very good hands. Slow-playing is deceptive play in poker that is roughly the opposite of bluffing: betting weakly with a strong holding rather than betting strongly with a weak one.

I continue to see more and more slow play at all of the internet poker portals I've been a part of. However, I would have to say the annoying clowns are somehow always present one way or the other. Annoying clowns: People how go All-in for the sake of going all-in so that everyone else will fold, over and over again. I know some people do this once or twice, that's poker. But over and over again? It takes the fun out of poker for me. But maybe that's just me...

I think it belongs to old age of playing poker game. I mostly play the game in online so there is no need of deceiving my opponent, there is no way that he can see my face while playing in online and further i am not a veteran to play in reality. ![]()
