The Mathematics of Poker by Bill Chen and Jerrod Ankenman is a great introductionto the quantitative techniques as applied to poker and to a branch of mathematics that is particularly applicable to poker, game theory.

Poker is not just about probability, pot odds, and simple rote play.

It is easier said than done reading a book and learning these ways, I am more of a hands on person. I think it can be done. Just not by me.
