has anyone read and win?

has anyone here read a poker book and win money by doing like in the book??i haven`t heard of anyone that won poker money after reading a book....i think books can`t help you to much and you need to practice an find out your own way to play

Well there's really no way of telling if you won by using the book. To play poker you need to have knowledge of the game, so reading a few books is going to help. However reading a bunch of books isn't going to make you a pro, you will have to achieve this by your experience playing the game.

But reading a few books has cleary helped my game when I first started to play poker.

Impossible because there are too many variables that have nothing to do with odds or numbers also. If you are a master of phsychology then you have a great chance to learn the mathimatical odds of poker and be a big winner.
You have to be a master of reading people, tghis is the intriguing part of poker:The Human Equation.

Reading a book about poker might help you understand the fundamentals of the game but it's not going to help you win per say it will just help you know what to do. Lots of other variables involved when playing with others though.

Books can help with the basics, but I think poker is about the way a person carries themselves. Books can used as really good tools though.

I know some guys who won poker by studying a book, but they lost soon after.Moreover no books can state how u can win. It all depends on your psychological mind and your mathematical brilliance.

i have read some books but cant say that they have really helped me win. i think personal mentors are the way to go if you are looking to improve your game and of course practice!
