INTRODUCTION TO DEUCE TO SEVEN TRIPLE DRAWS

Defining the Game

You may be new to poker and only know it as such – just plain poker.  Welcome to the wonderful world of this spectacular and mind-boggling game that combines a person’s mental and psychological skills.  Generals in battles know what it is like to be a strategist so I bet they can be good at this game.  But for the purpose of this article, we will be concentrating on the deuce to seven triple draws.  If you’ve seen poker games where the winner is declared based on who got the best hand during the showdown, you’d be happy to note that this game awards the player with the worst poker hand.  So we’re talking cards 2, 3, 4, 5, 7 of different suits.  Also, players can draw new card thrice during the hand, where the name of the game triple draw came from.

Step by Step Guide on Deuce to Seven Triple Draws

  1. The dealer provides five cards to each player.
  2. Betting starts with the player to the left of the person who made the big blind.
  3. The player may opt to discard any of their cards starting with the player seated on the left of the button.  But if the player declines to discard any card, he or she will have to stand pat with the cards for the entire round of the hand.  But if there are limited cards left to complete the draw, all discarded cards are taken and shuffled for a new deck.
  4. Each player goes through the second betting after all have drawn from the deck.
  5. Second draw occurs followed by a third round of betting around each player.
  6. A third draw comes next.  This is also the final draw for the players followed by final betting.
  7. Showdown comes up where the players reveal their cards.  The player with the worst hand wins.

As advised in deuce to seven triple draws, aces when combined with the worst combination of 2, 3, 4, 5, 7 of varied suits are the best hand a player can get.  The next worst set of cards you’d want to get would be 2, 3, 4, 6, 7 and third is 2,3, 5, 6, 7.  Remember that aces are always high and when combines with cards bearing 2, 3, 4, 5, you got a straight which is not a winning card for this type of poker.  If you’ve got a thing for this kind of game then try this one.  This may be the break you’ve been waiting for.
