TELLS FOR POKERS

Who wants to win a hand in poker?  You will probably get a shot back with “Who doesn’t?”  If you know how to play your cards right, you just might do it.  Besides you might get lucky with a novice player here and there and if you could read them like the cards, you have a good chance of pulling off that win.  This is where your mastery of poker tells come in handy.  It is not everyday that you get beginner players but if you got them, seize at the chance to take advantage of their poker tells.

Tells For Conventional Pokers

We could start with a group of players having a poker hand around a table just like how we’ve seen it in movies with a Western backdrop.  This is conventional poker where everyone sits facing each other.  You are familiar with the looks one player give the other players around the table hoping for a chance to get a glimpse of a poker tell.  Well, most of the time, beginner players can give their cards away with poker tells.  Try observing them and you’d know whether they have a good hand or not.

A good poker hand usually makes poker players’ hands shake like they’re kind of excited at the prospect that they could get a chance to win the game.  That’s one.  Another tell tale sign of a good hand is when they keep darting looks at the pot money sitting on the table, like they can’t get to take their eyes off it.  Silently, they could be saying to themselves “It won’t be long now and I’ll get my hands on the pot money all to myself.”

Tells for Online Poker

It gets a bit tricky when you start playing poker online.  You do not have the luxury of looking at your opponents in the face and understanding their non-verbal expressions and actions.  But then again, there are still some tells to indicate a poor hand at the game.  In most cases, you’ll see players hesitating over their next move.  Confidence and quickness of responses when it’s their turn indicates a good hand, more or less.  So, if you don’t want to give away your cards by taking too much time thinking about your next move, you might want to play it like a pro and act like you’re in control.  With more chances at playing for virtual money, you could start getting adapted to online poker and read the nuances of poker tell.
